Gustav Mummbrauer
Gustav has been with the Adventure Mania team for a few years now, and officially, for over a year now. Amongst many other things, he is mainly our Operations manager. Everything to do with mechanics, day to day proceedings, employee duties; he makes sure that everything runs smoothly behind the scenes, so you as the clients, do not have to worry about anything. If you ever come across him in a little corner under the gazebo, sitting quietly, he is most probably thinking of what else needs his attention. With the many years that he has, thus far accumulated through diving, you can rest assured that he knows what you need to know about the cycle of the ISimangaliso beach and its species, and where to find them. Qualified Open Water Instructor, Specialty Instructor and Skipper, Gustav is a strong confident leader in the Dive Industry. Adventure Mania is run side by side with Owners Amanda and Jacques and Gustav with precision and care like none other. His passion for the Dive Industry is unrivalled by any. He will never turn down a dive for any reason. Although is greatest passion, if forced to choose would definitely be launching the boat and driving the tractor. He doesn’t like to choose though – it’s all “cool”! The most trying busy days on the beach are the days Gustav thrives best.
When asked where he would like to be one day(which is always a question he is asked by the clients and divers), your answer will be “right here in Sodwana Bay on 2 mile reef preferably”. At this young age of 20years old,Gustav is settled and happy doing what he loves the most and it is very apparent in every way. Adventure Mania has a golden egg in Gustav and we do not plan to let him go..
