The PADI Open Water Diver Course is your ticket to exploring the underwater world with confidence. This globally recognised certification allows you to dive to 18 metres and opens the door to exciting adventures, from coral reefs to fascinating marine encounters.

At Adventure Mania, we guide you step by step through your journey. First, during the Knowledge Development phase, you’ll learn essential diving principles and safety guidelines. You can study at our centre or conveniently online with PADI eLearning. Quizzes and discussions with your instructor help strengthen your understanding before moving on.

Next, in the Confined Water Dives, the fun really begins. Under the close supervision of your PADI instructor, you’ll practise core skills in a pool. You’ll also complete a 200-metre swim and a 10-minute float, preparing you for real-world diving. With our heated pool available in winter, your training remains comfortable year-round.

Finally, the Open Water Dives take you to the breathtaking reefs of Sodwana Bay. Over four supervised dives, you’ll apply your new skills while swimming alongside vibrant marine life. By the end, you’ll have the ability and confidence to dive independently with a buddy.

The course is open to participants from age 10 and up, with Junior Diver certifications available for younger students. All divers under 18 need parental consent, and a medical certificate may be required.
