Minors under 18 need guardian permission, and all students must complete the PADI Medical Statement with a doctor’s clearance if required. Through confined water sessions and two ocean dives, you’ll practice real rescue skills, gain awareness, and become a safer, stronger diver.

The PADI Rescue Diver Course is one of the most rewarding steps in your diving journey. It takes you beyond basic skills and builds your confidence in preventing and managing emergencies. This course gives you practical knowledge and experience to look after yourself and others in the water.

Who Can Join the PADI Rescue Diver Course?

To enrol, you must meet the following requirements:
• Be at least 12 years old.
• Hold a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent).
• Complete CPR and First Aid training (EFR) within the last 24 months.
• Obtain signed guardian permission if you are under 18.
• Complete all registration paperwork and the PADI Medical Statement. If you answer “yes” to any questions, you need a doctor’s clearance signed within the last 12 months.

What to Expect During Training

The PADI Rescue Diver Course is practical, hands on, and highly rewarding. It usually takes four days to complete.
• Confined Water Training: You spend a full day practicing in a controlled environment. If needed, extra time is added to master the skills.
• Open Water Training: You complete two ocean dives, where you apply what you learned. You practice assisting tired divers, managing stress, and handling simulated emergencies.
• Knowledge Development: Before entering the water, you complete online registration, review course materials, and finish a quick knowledge review.
